The program involved two years of study, and the break between the first and second year provided an excellent opportunity for Marguerite to get up close with the Thoroughbred racehorses at Woodbine Racetrack. She worked mornings as a hot walker, and spent many afternoons developing her massage skills. It was an education in equine health and behaviour that was invaluable.
Upon her return to school she was more certain than ever that returning to work with these amazing animals was the best decision she had ever made. Marguerite successfully completed the D’al program in the Spring of 2009 and went on to obtain her designation as a Registered Equine Massage Therapist with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists. Marguerite practises in the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Southern Ontario.
